Remembrance of Love
This isn’t a beauty post, but a post to remember two very special people I’ve lost from my life. Twenty years ago today I lost my aunt - age 39 years old. She died of breast cancer leaving behind her wee girlies aged 8 & 13. I’ve never experienced pain like it. I still miss her. It’s so sad she never met her grandsons Scott and Jack 🙁 It’s also 75 years since VE Day. My Grampa was a prisoner of war in Japan so it wasn’t quite over for him yet. I thought I’d share his experience ... VIEW POST

Maternity Reflexology incorporates a few techniques such as the endocrine balance and lymphatic drainage to support your body’s specific needs at this special time. It’s a myth that reflexology can bring on labour! What it can do is stimulate and prepare the systems that are already naturally in place. It’s amazing what you ... VIEW POST
Breath of Life

A couple of weeks ago I lost track of where I was at with the pills and that seems to have sent me into a complete emotional train ... VIEW POST
Raspberry Leaf Tea
Personally, I love this tea! I don’t really have any problems with my periods but if I do suffer from cramp, this tea helps alleviate it. For example, when I had the Mirena Coil removed a few years ago the cramping was horrific. I drunk copious amounts of raspberry leaf tea and it really calmed things down. It’s a uterine tonic which means it helps support and strengthen the muscles of the uterus. For this reason it is recommended in the last trimester of pregnancy. It’s a common myth that ... VIEW POST
Battle of the Beauty Therapist
Us beauty therapists have always had a hard time in some way shape or form. These days it’s nurses, doctors and dentists that are lording it over us because they seem to want to make a few extra bucks for themselves. I got into the beauty industry almost 30 years ago because I wanted to help people feel good about themselves. I’ve also done a stint in the home caring industry and although there are similarities (the caring aspect) they are completely different jobs ... VIEW POST
