Morning!
I thought I would share this “breath count” video by VBYogaHub.
I’ve had a really horrible week for no particular reason other than the chemicals in my body seem to be a bit haywire.
With the support and guidance of my GP and Victoria Butterfield – my yoga instructor, I’m coming off the anti depressants that I’ve been on for the last year.
A couple of weeks ago I lost track of where I was at with the pills and that seems to have sent me into a complete emotional train wreck 😆.
Over the last week my diet has been crap, I’ve struggled to exercise. The biggest challenge for me when that happens is not to let it become a downward spiral of self hatred and failure.
Anyway, yesterday anxiety was coursing through my veins most of the day. As I was driving over to my mums with the girls, I decided to engage my brain and focus on my breath.
This video talks you through it – it’s ten minutes, but it can be applied anytime or anywhere. It’s so basic! Yet SO powerful.
I can tell you it worked a treat on me yesterday and enabled me to have a relaxed, enjoyable evening.
This week, I’ll be practicing what I preach and carving out some time for myself. That includes having a relaxing reflexology Treatment later – can’t wait 😄
Always remember to be kind to yourself. Self care isn’t selfish. It’s ensuring you’re fully equipped and ready to take on the world 🙏🏻💕😇
