When I was little I always wanted to help people feel good about themselves. Believe it or not I was inspired by the film “Grease” to go to beauty school and become a beauty therapist.
I qualified with an HND in Beauty Therapy in 1993 and the following year decided to bite the bullet and start my own wee clinic within a hairdressers in Kirkintilloch.
From there I worked in a variety of locations including the Scottish Power Power Club gym, the sun room in Lenzie, Neal’s Yard Remedies in Glasgow whilst also running a mobile service to my loyal clients.
In 2012 I had to admit defeat and hang up my therapy boots as the anxiety and exhaustion I was experiencing had become too much for me to bear. My world closed in and I found myself completely isolated on the other side of the city. It was a dark time in my life.
It’s taken me years to recover and regain my confidence.
But here I am! Many years after my breakdown, back in the job I love.
From the middle of August I will be taking appointments again and working on a mobile basis. This means I will come to your home to deliver your treatment. For now I will only be offering waxing and aromatherapy until the rest of my equipment is in place. I will also only be treating ladies
Benefits of beauty treatments at home include
- Zero travel time or expenses
- No embarrassment being out in public after treatments such as Collagen Induction (needling) or waxing
- No stress battling through traffic or public transport after a relaxing treatment
- You don’t have to worry about the hygiene standards of others as you’re treatment is in your own environment.
I’ve been working as a home carer throughout lockdown with a company that has had ZERO cases of covid amongst staff or clients therefore I have confidence in my own hygienic standards.
I look forward to welcoming clients old and new from all over the beautiful city of Glasgow in this my 31st year in the beauty industry.
Lots of love
