I’ve been working in the therapy industry for over 30 years, beginning my journey in 1993 when I qualified as a beauty therapist through Glasgow Caledonian University, following three years of training between there and Clydebank College. I started my own business in 1994, and from the very beginning, caring for others has been at the heart of everything I do.
Over the years, I’ve experienced both the rewards and the challenges of self-employment. Like many therapists, I’ve had periods where I overworked out of fear and eventually burned out. Those experiences, while difficult, shaped me deeply. They taught me the importance of balance, boundaries, and truly listening to myself as well as to others. They also strengthened my compassion for the people I now support.
Today, my work centres on complementary therapies, where I’ve naturally gravitated and specialised throughout my career. My approach is intuitive and client led. I don’t follow a rigid routine instead, I take time to listen and respond to what each person needs in that moment, creating a treatment that is as individual as they are.
Alongside my hands-on therapy work, I feel a strong calling to support and guide others within the profession. I mentor therapists, particularly those returning to the industry or building confidence in their practice, offering practical, compassionate support rooted in real-life experience. I understand the realities of this work, both emotionally and physically, and I’m passionate about helping others grow in a way that feels sustainable and aligned.
My work is about more than treatments, it’s about creating a safe, nurturing space where you can come home to yourself.
I look forward to welcoming you and supporting your wellbeing.
