Chamomile is one of the gentlest essential oils as its non toxic and non irritant therefore when blended with a vegetable oil it’s an oils suitable for use on babies and children. The two most common types of chamomile used in aromatherapy are German chamomile and Roman chamomile. German is the stronger of the two and is blue in colour whereas roman is yellow. Both have similar properties that include being useful for treating insomnia, toothache, digestive problems and headaches. Chamomile tea is a common remedy for stress and can also be great for digestive problems.
